I offer a luxury photography experience that is once in a lifetime with professional hairstyling & makeup artistry, fashion consults, and a variety of looks for your session. Every delivered photo (digital & print) is MASTERFULLY RETOUCHED.
It means that all:
blemishes, razor burn, stray hairs, lint will be removed, fine lines will be softened, & any any unflattering bulges will be tucked in as requested (including slimming of face/chin/arm/tummy area)
* What does 'Masterfully Retouched' mean?
1. Be ready for the session – do not come feeling rushed.
2. Girls, most sessions include professional Hair & Makeup! Be thinking about the specific look you'd like to have for your shoot.
3. Since many of you are coming in from out-of-town for your photoshoot, try on EVERYTHING (including the respective bras) with every outfit. Try on and pack your outfits a few days in advance of your trip, to give you time to shop for any last minute undergarment or shoe, etc. The most forgotten items by far are bras (strapless) and shoes!
4. One word... Bodyshapers like Spanx. If you're a girl with a lil tummy, look into purchasing a pair of bodyshapers. You'll feel so much more confident and comfortable. I specialize in photographing girls of all shapes and sizes, and bodyshapers are one of my secrets. They help smooth out little tummy bumps and helps you feel more secure and confident during your shoot. ;)
5. For the girls... accessorize accessorize accessorize! Bring your favorite hat, and sunglasses. Bring your favorite jewelry to accent a few of your outfits.
6. Guys...head over to a local salon to get those brows cleaned up. It's so worth the modest fee to get a quick wax. You'll be in experienced, competent hands; totally worth it, trust me. (and don’t wait until the day before!)
7. Relax and just have fun. Your senior pictures express who you are, so just be yourself!
8. Pick colors and clothing styles that you know you look good in. Don’t bring anything that is either too big or too tight. Make sure to try on your complete outfit before you come for your session. (ie Try sitting, squatting, leaning forward, etc) ask an honest friend for their opinion. Don't pick outfits that are all the same color (this happens more than you think!!!) Text me pics of your selections and I'll offer my honest feedback.
9. Lay out outfits a few days before your session; make sure you have everything all good-to-go, with shoes, accessories, bras, etc. With unlimited clothing changes, have some FUN – go for any look you can dream of (think: casual/comfy, dressy/classy, formal, sports jerseys, etc – get creative)
10. Speak up! if there is a particular pose or look you want to achieve, please tell me; your ideas add to my energy and enthusiasm!
11. Take care to not tan or bask in the sun several days prior to your shoot; sunburns and tan lines to not photograph well.
12. Don’t forget your “props” – consider bringing anything that helps show off your personality or passion (football, artwork, running shoes, ballet shoes, surf board, saddle, team jersey, 4H ribbons, class ring, camera, dog, shotgun, bow, horse, makeup, paints) you get the idea!
13… Yes, you can bring a friend, and yes they can pose with you at no extra charge!

1. Be ready for the session – do not come feeling rushed.
2. If anyone in your family is not feeling well, please reach out to me ASAP to reschedule. Photos of sick children NEVER turn out.
3. Ladies, please talk to me about professional hair & makeup artistry – I can set up your appt right here at the studio or at your personal residence/vacation resort. You will NOT regret having professional hair & makeup done, trust me! You’ll feel more confident and beautiful, which translates to pictures you love!
4. Since many of you are coming in from out-of-town for your photoshoot, try on EVERYTHING (including the respective bras) with every outfit. 7. The big question: What do we wear? There are two schools of thought here, 1) matchy-matchy or 2) harmonious. There are pros and cons to both, but I personally prefer ‘harmonious’, which to me means picking a color palette you love and selecting outfits that fall within that color scheme. This tends to be the easiest for larger families to coordinate (which means one less thing to stress about). A few more thoughts:
BEACH: Over the years I’ve noticed that softer colors, more muted colors photograph so much prettier at the beach (vs reds, black, navy).
TROPICAL: If we are meeting in your neighborhood or at a tropical location, be careful of bolder patterns that will compete with the foliage in the background.
STUDIO: For the family shots, I’d love to get at least 2 looks in for everyone – casual and a bit more formal. We definitely go over this in great detail during your consultation!
